ProSET 6.4 “Usability Update” Released

ProSET has been updated with a number of usability updates, plus a few other improvements.

Form widths and resizable Text Boxes

Default form widths have been increased, with a number of forms now full width.

Text boxes have changed to be resizable.  Click on the bar at the bottom of the text box to expand the text box or to make it smaller.

Layout Options

Expand – Expand all rows to their maximum height to show all text
Collapse – Collapse all rows to the default single line

Custom Columns

Custom Columns are available on the Hazards Overview, Nodes Overview and Drawing Numbers Manager tables.

Tick/untick to change which columns are displayed
Save – Save the current columns view as the default.  ProSET will use this view when it is reopened
Load – Load the saved columns view.  You can tick/untick columns and revert back to your preferred view
Reset – Reset all columns back to the “ProSET defaults”.  This includes which are displayed, their position and widths.  This is saved as the default and ProSET will use this view when it is reopened

Note: Combine using the Custom Columns with the Export function to create custom report tables

Multiple Row Selection

To select multiple rows in a table use the Control and Shift buttons with left mouse click.

This allows deletion and duplication of multiple rows.

With a single row selected:

  • Add/Edit/Delete/Duplicate buttons are enabled in the top right of each table
  • Edit/Delete/Duplicate options are enabled in right click menu

With multiple rows selected (ctrl/shift + left click on multiple rows)

  • Add/Delete/Duplicate buttons are enabled in the top right of each table
    Edit button is disabled
  • Edit/Delete/Duplicate options are enabled in right click menu

Note: Duplicate function is not on all tables

Export

Exports are available on nearly all tables in ProSET, enabling you to create “custom reports”

The current table view (Columns and filtered/search rows) are exported to a CSV file (which can be opened in Excel).

With no table rows selected, all rows are exported.

With row(s) selected (either a single row, or multiple rows selected by using Shift/Control + Click), you are prompted to export either the selected row(s) or to export the full table.

Table Scrolling

The vertical scrolling on all tables is now on the table rather than the popup or ProSET itself.  This ensures the heading row and option buttons are in view at all times.

Note: this functionality is not yet available on the Node details page in PHA Comp.
