Risk Matrix for SIL Determination

The Risk Matrix can be viewed by clicking on the required Hazard ->SIL Determination -> Risk Matrix.

The Risk Matrix tab is only available if the Determination methods for the Hazard are set to include Risk Matrix.

Initiating Events

Initiating Events are added to the Risk Matrix.  See the Initiating Events guide.

Independent Protection Layers & Conditional Modifiers

Independent Protection Layers (IPLs) & Conditional Modifiers are added to the Risk Matrix.  See the IPLs and Conditional Modifiers guide.

Likelihood

If the Initiating Events tool has been used the Likelihood result is already set.  If the Initiating Events tool has not been used then a manual Likelihood can be selected and a Justification provided.

Consequences

Consequences are set on the Hazard on the Hazards Form and are configured in the Risk Matrix Configuration.

Right click on a Consequence row to edit the assessment for that Consequence.
